The Boom of Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley is known as the startup capital of the world, and almost every large tech company has begun there. In 1995, the internet was opened for commercial use. Soon after, Silicon Valley became the center of the internet bubble. Many new companies flocked there – including Google, Apple, Amazon, and Dell. After gaining success, more companies, entrepreneurs, engineers, and techies decided Silicon Valley was the place to be.

When looking at the map below, you can see a steady population growth until 1996. Then, it is evident that there was a significant and rapid increase of population. This can be attributed to the reasons above.
